Here’s the Sweetheart release, but if you didn’t get a chance to check out the Smitten release from December, then that’s worth a look, too. After all, I’m sure many of us were run off our feet in December. I love the winter holiday season, but it sure is a busy one! Here’s what my card has:
A little bit of everything!
the joy of a great tag can’t be beat!
I started this card by watercolouring the daisy. I cut the Charming Daisy dies from a cold-pressed watercolour card and then used Daniel Smith watercolours to paint the stem, leaves and flower centre. I added just the faintest pink and purple glow to the base of the petals to make them stand out from the tag. I glued the layers together and then set them aside while I worked on the rest of the card.
With everything prepared, I folded a card base from more watercolour card (I’ve run out of my favourite Ivory card. Note to self to order more in!) and assembled all the elements with foam tape. I added a flourish of Lawn Fawn twine to the tag and a sprinkling of Rainbow Splash drops to finish off the card.
Well that’s me for today, but I will be back on the weekend for a blog hop and unlike today, I have a single layered stamped card to share! I hope you will join me then.
