Hi, thank you for joining me for this easy watercolour card. I hope it looks simple and achievable to you because it is! The thing is, for me at least, to achieve a card that looks so easy there’s a fair amount of planning and preparation in advance. So in today’s video, I thought I’d take you step-by-step through my thought process. I’ve linked all supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
The Planning Behind ‘Easy’ Projects
I chat more about each phase in the video but these are the processes I went through to make this card:
- design
- chose stamp set
- which cardstock
- build the structure
- draw a grid
- chose a paint colour
- work out dilutions
- colour theory
- prepare palette with adjusted colour in three dilutions – full-strength, mid-strength and dilute
- paint!
So there you go, the step-by-step thought processes that went into producing a simple card. I find that planning things out and being prepared results in a better outcome and makes things look easy!
