Hi, thank you for joining me today. First off, let me explain that my video and post today are part of a hop over on Instagram to show love and support for Andy Granick who is having health issues. This card was inspired by Andy, his colourful style that often includes colour blocking and also Andy is not only the sweetest person, but he is showing huge strength of character. You can find out all the details of the hop on my Instagram post @debbyhughes – look for this card on my grid and you’ll find everything you need to know there. I’ve linked all supplies with compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
COLOUR BLOCKING
OK, colour blocking. I do love a bit of colour blocking and the design I’m using today is one I’ve used a couple of times, originally back in 2012 and then more recently in 2019. This staggered block design was one I originally spotted on a trendy water bottle and I think adapts itself well to a card.

Pin Me
Summary of the project which gives all the views of the card in one photo :D I’d love if you pinned and called by on Pinterest :D
Love the color scheme! You have a very good eye for detail- very nice how the stamped leaf matches the embossed background. I forgot I could make colored paper by just “direct-to-paper” inking….another “duh” moment for me! Thank you for the great ideas!
Hello Debby!
You make the most wonderful cards! I love this type of video where you talk about composition and color. I think they are really one of your strong suits. And I learn so much. I hope your friend has a speedy recovery. Sending you big warm hello from San Francisco!
Breathtakingly simple and gorgeous! I absolutely love this color theme! Thank you Debbie for sharing your talent with us every day.
