TOP TIPS
You’ll want to keep an eye out for the new PET tool – seriously so clever! Even more so with the name which fits perfectly with Simon’s brand. I’ll also be keen to try out the new Blender Brushes – the mini type ones you pop on your finger. They would work so well with the XL Rose Bouquet stencil for getting in all the corners with different ink colours. I obviiously love the Spring Bouquets set as I chose it to use today. However, I have a card I can’t wait to share with you using the Organic Fruits set too! I love colour studies and can’t wait to try the Color Wheel set. I can see all the swatching junkies out there loving that set! Thinking of cling stamps, the Magnolia Background is simply gorgeous. The Grocery Bag envelopes are fun as they really have a, well, paper bag feel to them. I can see them looking fabulous stamped in black ink accents around an address.

Debby, do you remember what colors you used for the flowers in this video? I have a nice handful of DS watercolors but last time i tried to do a more muted “fall-mix” type grouping of flowers I was NOT successful at picking colors that worked well together & ended up hating my final outcome. Thanks for sharing your video!!
Hi Amy, from memory, the flower on the right was mainly Quin. Violet. The middle flower, I’m thinking was mainly Pyrrol Scarlet, the flower on the left, that would be more the Yellow Ochre or Monte Amiata Natural Sienna mixes. For a muted colour you can always mix a little of the ‘complementary’ colour to knock back the shade; if you add a touch of green to red it will create a more natural colour. So your complementary colours are Red & Green, Blue & Orange and Yellow & Purple. Hope that helps!
