A powerful image doesn’t need much embellishment. For this Inlaid Crosses die from the new Lucky To Know You release from Simon Says Stamp, I paired the die cut with a soft watercoloured background that drew the eye to the centrepiece. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
SIMON SAYS STAMP LUCKY TO KNOW YOU RELEASE
As I mentioned, the Inlaid Crosses dies are part of a new release from Simon Says Stamp entitled Lucky To Know You. Here’s a closer look at the latest release.

SIMPLICITY SPEAKS VOLUMES
On Arches cold-pressed watercolour card I created a loose watercoloured wash using Daniel Smith paints. I worked the colours in an oval shape around a centre area. I kept mainly clear of colour to draw the eye to the die-cut. I splattered the panel with white gouache and a solution of Perfect Pearls.
I die cut one of the Inlaid Crosses dies from Ivory card three times and adhered one on top of the other for dimension. I then glued the dimensional die-cut to the watercoloured panel. I adhered the panel to an Ivory card base with foam adhesive.
For the sentiment, I stamped a greeting from the Clean Line Faith set from CZ Design in clear embossing ink on Black card and white heat embossed. I trimmed to a skinny banner and adhered with foam adhesive overlapping the die-cut.
Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Lucky To Know You release from Simon Says Stamp and I’ll be joining a blog hop on Saturday with more inspiration from the release. I hope you’ll come back and see me here then.
