The Simon Says Stamp November Card Kit came out earlier this month and I’ve finally had time to play with it! I was immediately drawn to the cute critters in the Woodland Whimsy stamp set. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
As is my preference, this card is relatively clean and straightforward. I stamped the rabbit and banner from the Woodland Whimsy set in Versafine Clair Pinecone ink on Arches Cold-pressed watercolour card and then stamped again on Gina K Masking Magic paper, trimmed out and applied the masks so that I could stamp the hedgehog and deer to appear slightly set back. I stamped a few of the foliage images around the scene and the birthday greeting in the banner, and then I was set to watercolour.
I simply watercoloured the images – not too many layers on these just enough shadows and highlight areas to bring them to life. I added white gouache accents here and there also – a few dots on the hedgehog’s tummy, on the critters cheeks etc.
