When time is short in the summer, a watercolour print is a perfect solution to snatched 5 minutes of creative time in between day trips and having fun outdoors. Not only that, but they are so portable if you want to take your supplies on the road with you. I chose one of the cute designs from the Suzy’s Adventurous Watercolor Prints set, but there are numerous sets available, including a new Succulents set. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used where possible at no cost to you.
WATERCOLOURED PRINTS
What can I say about how I made this card other than I just set to with my watercolours and coloured pencils with highlight details from a white gel pen and white gouache. I chose to watercolour, because, well I watercolour at every opportunity and the prints are on Tim Holtz watercolour card. However, you don’t have to watercolour; you could use Copic markers or coloured pencils. Whatever, you have to hand is the perfect medium for the job!
Once all the colouring was done. I added Glossy Accents to the ‘world’ and ‘explore’ elements of the sentiment and also the small heart in the cloud to make them stand out more.
Finally, I added some gold gel pen details and then when everything was dry foam mounted on a Desert Storm card base. How’s your summer crafting going? Are you taking supplies on the road with you?

LOVE IT! I have these watercolor cards, but wasn’t sure how to color them. Your detail work is AMAZING! Thank you for the inspiration!
Super fun print!
Great card.
Oh Debby, this is fantastic. These w/c prints are great for summer and I have to admit, I keep my bag packed with them for quick and easy ‘on the go’ colouring year round. They are great to w/c, Copic colour, use with Zigs or any other medium. I am a HUGE fan of Suzy’s prints….Yours of course is amazing!
Such a lovely card, and you know I just love a caravan holiday. Fabulous watercolour Debby.☺️
Well done!! I love the glossy accent you’ve added to the ‘world’, it really pops!
Fantastic, I need to invest in more sets as I’ve nearly completed the set I had.x
