The Party Like A Panda stamp set from the new Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit has the most adorable Panda images! I really enjoyed watercolouring this cute guy holding the birthday cake for a clean and simple birthday card. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. WATERCOLOURED BIRTHDAY PANDA

I started by stamping my scene on Arches Cold Pressed watercolour card. I stamped the bamboo I borrowed from the Cool Panda set in Antique Linen Distress Ink and added a balloon from the Party Like A Panda set, again in Antique Linen. Then for the Panda, I chose Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink as I found this gave good coverage for the darker areas of the image, but I could still move the ink around a little to get that no-line watercoloured look. I then watercoloured with Daniel Smith paints and added Faber Castell coloured pencil details.

I die cut the watercoloured panel with a Wonky Rectangle die and added it to a side folding A2 card base cut and scored from Neenah Desert Storm card. I stamped a greeting from the Party Like A Panda set in clear embossing ink on a scrap of card and white heat embossed before trimming to a skinny banner and adding with foam adhesive.

I accented the balloon with the Sparkle pen included in the kit and coated with Crystal Glaze. I also used the Sparkle pen on the cake and added a few white gel pen details too. Finally, I added a trio of Dragon Scales droplets.

As I write this, there are still a few of the card kits available, but once these are gone, they are gone. However, once they are sold out, you can always look for the kit contents separately, such as the Party Like A Panda stamp set I used today.
