It’s time for my monthly video feature over at Simon Says Stamp’s blog – Doodling With Debby. For this month’s card, I’m being inspired by the fabulous Kristina Werner and her Distress Oxide colour combinations series. I have been following Kristina since way back in the day and am always inspired by her cards as well as her graphic design work and lettering. Well, when I saw Kristina combine Old Paper, Evergreen Bough and Black Soot Distress Oxides I just couldn’t get the beautiful muted blend of these colours out of my head, so I’ll be using them on my card today. Please check out Kristina’s series as she covers lots of other different combinations too. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I hope you will pop over to Simon’s Blog to see the details and video :D

Gorgeous card! I love the blended background!!
Oh Debby, this is so stunning. I cannot believe how gorgeous these colours are together. Without Kristina’s series, I my never have tried some of these combinations.
The color combo is amazing & you’ve made me put the stamps & dies on my wishlist! LOVE this card, Debby!
Your card is beautiful ! I love Kristina’s blending combos too, they are so useful. Your idea of a white heart die-cut on white paper in the center is excellent.
I’ve seen you use a baby wipe to clean your brush between colors. In the middle of my work, I use only a dry microfiber cloth to clean my brushes so I don’t have the “wet” problem ! I keep the baby wipes only for the end of the blending session, but most of the time the microfiber cloth is enough.
This beautiful background with the awesome stamp and die has definitely the WOW factor.
Thank you so much for showing Debby.
Love your card Debby and that you’re using these great stamps and dies again. I bought them last time around and I can’t wait to try out your amazing techniques. You are always an inspiration and the products used are top notch. Off to watch your video. Thank you.
Debby, what a beautiful card. Your colors are spectacular.
As always I enjoyed your video. It was helpful to see the brushes in action with the oxides. I see now I need to work the transition areas more. Beautiful card!
