I have a monthly video feature, Doodling With Debby, on the Simon Says Stamp blog, and I’m sharing here too in case you missed it and for this month I have some leafy loveliness with the new Outline Clustered Leaves die from the recent You Are Loved release paired with the new Oh Happy Day Tag and Quilted Hearts Background. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

This leaves series from Simon Says Stamp has been a favourite of mine. There was the original Clustered Leaves die and then the Leaves stencil, and I am so happy to see this new Outline Clustered Leaves die join the family!
I die cut the Outline Clustered Leaves die from white card. I then coloured white card with an array of ink colours; I prefer the softer effect than die cutting directly from coloured card although that is an option as would patterned paper. So, the ink colours I used were:
After inking the pieces of card, I decided not to use the Smoke version. I dried the rest of the panels with a heat tool to prevent damp card getting stuck in the die and then ran each colour through my die cutting machine with the Outline Clustered Leaves die. I set my colourful pile of leaves to one side while I worked on the rest of the card.
On a piece of Fog card, I stamped the Quilted Hearts Background in clear embossing ink before sprinkling with white embossing powder and heat setting. I trimmed the panel down to just slightly smaller than an A2 card base and mounted it on a side folding white card.
I die cut an Oh Happy Day Tag from white card and foam mounted this to the front of the panel. I added the white leaves die cut to the card front with little pieces of foam adhesive. After which I turned to my colourful pile of leaves and foam mounted leaves around the branch. Sometimes I added the leaves to nestle back into the white outline, but often I added them at an angle either on top of the white outline or underneath.
Finally, I accented some of the leaves with a Sparkle Pen and Star Dust Stickles and dotted around a few white and clear sequins from the Girl’s Best Friend sequin pack.

Beautiful and thank you for the video! Happy New Year!
This is very pretty! I like the colors and the placement of the leaves. I love glitter, so I love the addition of all the sparkle. The background stamp looks really nice.
