Diecember – Let the die cutting begin! In December, Simon Says Stamp has a new release jam-packed full of dies. This release often is the transition from Holiday related products to those relevant all year round. I don’t know about you, but I’m hoping to get all my Christmas cards out the door soon. I did want to give the gorgeous Holiday Knit Background die a little love though before the season is over and paired this new die with a couple of previously released dies. Just a hint of stamping on this card, hopefully, it still counts for Diecember ;) I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

I die cut the Holiday Knit Background from Fog card and adhered it to a white card base with a Gina K glue runner. I then cut the die again but this time from Schoolhouse Red card. I used Gina K Connect glue to piece the red poinsettia petals into place.

The weather here is so dark and wet that you can hardly tell day from night, but hopefully, you can see the lovely detailing this die adds to the background.

I paired the background with a Happy Christmas die cut from white and Schoolhouse Red card and a few Green Leaf holly leaves cut with the Holly Fanfare die. I embellished with Ivory Seashell droplets and Crystal Glaze on the leaves.

I did add one tiny bit of stamping using the Tiny Words Christmas set, picking out a coordinating sentiment and stamping it in clear embossing ink on Slate card before white heat embossing and trimming to a skinny banner.
