The Fun & Festive release from Simon Says Stamp has a new set of Paintable Prints from Suzy Plantamura. These prints are such a fabulous idea at this time of year as they make such quick and easy cards to make – a win-win for sure. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Suzy’s Paintable Prints are printed on Tim Holtz watercolour card, and so all the work is done for you. I used my Daniel Smith watercolour paints and happily painted away. I splattered with white gouache to add to the snowflakes already there. The thing was, I painted the sky quite dark, and so you couldn’t really read the sentiment very well. I tried writing over it with a white gel pen but made a mess of that, but I wasn’t going to give in.

I took the Rina Snowflake die and cut it three times from white card. I rubbed Ranger Multi Medium Matte over the snowflakes and then dunked them in Tim Holtz Dry Rock Candy Distress Glitter. I then added two of the snowflakes over the messed up sentiment and one other in the corner for balance. I then added my sentiment with a Merry die cut from Neenah Solar White card and stamped in Altenew Velvet ink. I then added a Christmas word from the CZ Design Ornamental set stamped in clear embossing ink on black card and white heat embossed, trimmed to a banner and added with foam adhesive on top.

I added the finished watercolour print to a white card base and accented with Pink & Main silver glossy dots.
