After resting up for a few days I finally managed to get in my craft room today! I’m popping in super quick to share a card I made with the Tim Holtz STAMPtember 2018 set. This set is selling like hotcakes, and I predict it will be sold old by the end of the day! I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
TIM HOLTZ STAMPTEMBER 2018
For a more vintage feel, I pulled out a piece of Ivory card and stamped one of the lovely sentiments from the Tim Holtz set in clear embossing ink and then sprinkled with Antique Gold Embossing Powder and heat set. I then blended around the edges of the panel with Antique Linen Distress Ink which created a halo around the sentiment.
I was tempted to try watercolouring but didn’t want to lose all the detail in this gorgeous stamps and so I pulled out my faithful Distress Markers and coloured directly onto the image before stamping on the panel. I did this over and over again building up the colour and using different markers for variety within the foliage. I then splattered with Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine and White Gouache. Finally, I applied Ranger Multi Medium Matte here and there and then sprinkled on Vintage Platinum Distress Glitter. I mounted the panel to a Neenah Desert Storm card base with foam adhesive.
This card was quick to put together and relatively flat, so it will be great for mailing too. Check out the Tim Holtz STAMPtember 2018 set here, and I’ve not even mentioned that in addition to the gorgeous stamp set there are also four stencils included!
