It’s the turn of Clearly Besotted for today’s STAMPtember release, and there’s not one but two collaboration sets with Simon Says Stamp! Magnificent Magnolia has gorgeous flowers and then Lift Me Up has cute hot air balloon images. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
MAGNIFICENT MAGNOLIA
I pulled out the Magnificent Magnolia for my card today. You know me and flowers, and I was in the mood for watercolouring, and the florals from Magnificent Magnolia were perfect. The set comes with an open bloom and bud image, and I stamped them in clear embossing ink on Hot Pressed watercolour card and white heat embossed using masking paper where necessary so that the images overlapped one another. I kept going until I had covered the whole panel and then I set to with Daniel Smith watercolours and finished off the painting with a splatter of white gouache.
I wrapped the panel with twine and tied in a bow before adding the panel to a Neenah Solar White card base with foam adhesive. For the sentiment, I stamped one of the lovely greetings from the Magnificent Magnolia set in clear embossing ink on Slate card and white heat embossed and then used the Sentiment Labels dies to create a skinny banner before tucking it under the knot of the twine. I accented the card with a trio of Crystal Reflections sequins.
You can find the Magnificent Magnolia set here and you have to check out the cute hot air balloons in the Lift Me Up set too.

Beautiful card Debby, but I have to say, it’s your amazing design and watercolouring that has made the card magnificent. Thank you for your wonderful inspiration.
So gorgeous!!
Lovely card.
I love this Debby, I am a great flower lover and this is awesome. Ther is only one thing I don’t understand and that is why do yo use clear and white embossingpowder?
And did you use it random or on specific places?
Henriëtte, hi, I stamped in clear sticky ink and then sprinkled with white embossing powder before heat setting. No clear embossing powder on this one just clear ink with white powder over the top. Hope that helps :D
Thank you for your answere Debby, I misread your post, sorry. I still love your awesome coloured card.
Debby, this card is awesome…the design so beautifully intricate and the colors so vibrant. tfs
