Today’s blog post is part of a hop to celebrate Rubeena of A Rare Ruby four years of crafting. More on the hop below, please hang out until the end of this hop as this hop is enormous with lots of participants and piles of giveaways too. For my card, I had fun colouring one of the feathers, and flowers images from Simon Says Stamp’s Earth Has Flowers set with pencils on kraft. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I stamped the lovely feather image with flowers tucked in from the Earth Has Flowers set in clear embossing ink on Neenah Desert Storm card and coloured with Faber Castell coloured pencils. I then used a white gel pen to add dots and accents. I trimmed the feather out, and foam mounted it on a panel of Desert Storm card cut with a Wonky Rectangle die and splattered with white gouache.
For the sentiment, I took the Yes You Can set and stamped the Trust Yourself in Magnolia ink on Ivory card and die cut with the Yes You Can matching die. I foam mounted the sentiment overlapping the feather.
Finally, I added the panel to an Ivory card base and accented with a trio of Crystal Reflections sequins. I love how much impact you can get with pencils on kraft and trimming out and foam mounting this feather gave a nice dimension to this card too.
