If you’ve noticed it has been a bit quiet around here; it is because I was away on our family holiday and actually managed to unplug a little. We were in a luxury wood cabin in the south of Sweden, and I enjoyed some downtime reading, painting, sightseeing and just taking it slow with the family. We were inland slightly but still able to visit the coast, so this card pretty much sums up how I feel right now LOL. I used the Summer Cuddly Critters and Surf’s Up sets and some simple Copic colouring. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I stamped the dog in his floatie from the Summer Cuddly Critters set and the palm tree and the circular scene from the Surf’s Up set in Intense Black ink on Neenah Solar White card and die cut with their matching dies before Copic colouring.
For the sun from the Surf’s Up set, I stamped it in Duckling ink and rocked and rolled around the edges with Orange Slush ink then die cut with the matching die. I added Star Dust Stickles to the sun and waves and Sparkle pen to the palm tree. I also added dots of Copic marker to the sand interspersed with dots of white gel pen.
Here you can see some of the sparkle going on but also that I coated the flamingo floatie and sunglasses in Crystal Glaze too.
I blended Broken China and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide inks over a panel of Bristol card and splattered with a solution of Perfect Pearls before adding the panel to a white card base. I then added all the elements with foam adhesive. For the sentiment, I stamped a coordinating phrase from the Surf’s Up set in clear embossing ink on a Black card and white heat embossed before trimming to a banner. Finally, I added a trio of Pool Party and Hello Summer sequins to embellish.

Summary of the project which gives all the views of the card in one photo :D I’d love if you pinned and called by on Pinterest :D
This is so cute!! Your coloring rocks!!! My go to finisher for a card is some kind of sparkle pen and glossy accents.
GLITTER, girl! I love glitter! Me like sparkly. ha-ha
Cute card. Love the surfs up set. I like to add sparkle pen and embossing powders, perfect pearls and embellishments like sequins. Thanks.
Adorable cards :) My favorites for adding accents to my paper crafting is glossy accents and sparkle pens, I love the shine and sparkle they give without being overpowering. However, that’s not to say that I don’t use a lot of sequins and glitter too LOL.
I love GLITTER! Can’t go wrong with a little sparkle! Thanks and God Bless!
Too cute! I mostly use sequins that I adhere using mini glue dots, but I also love the effect of my shimmer pens.
