SIMON SAYS STAMP SENDING SUNSHINE RELEASE
Let’s take a look at what’s in the new Sending Sunshine release.

FULL CARD SHAKER
I decided to create a full card shaker using the new Marilyn Full Card die. This is such an easy card to put together, but these shakers sure are a big hit! I started by blending a simple background with Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple Distress Oxide inks. I kept the deeper colours around the edge of the panel to leave a soft Tattered Rose highlight in the centre. I then splattered the panel with Perfect Pearls, and I also squished the ink pads onto my mat spritzed with water and splattered droplets of colour on the panel too.
For the sentiment, I used the new Playful Messages set and stamped one of the fun sayings in Clear Embossing Ink on Slate card and White heat embossed before trimming to a banner. I also rubbed Worn Lipstick ink onto scrap white card and then die cut three hearts using the Large Holiday Shapes dies and coated them in Glossy Accents. Finally, I cut the Marilyn Full Card die from white card and then I had all the elements ready to put together.
I had such fun creating my shaker mix to match the pinks of the background panel. I got all my sequin supplies out and mixed together Simon Says Stamp Colorful Confetti, Pale Pink, Sweet 16, a variety from Little Things From Lucy’s Cards and finally gems from Studio Katia. I sprinkled these onto the panel, and then I backed the Marilyn Full Card die with acetate, added a layer of foam adhesive strips around the edges and laid it on top of the pink background to create the shaker. I used these adhesive strips which made adding fine lines of foam adhesive around the edges so much easier than having to cut my own skinny strips from wider adhesive.
Finally, I added the sentiment and hearts on top with more foam adhesive, added the panel to a white card base and paired the card with a Slate envelope from Gina K.
SNEAK PEEKS
I’ll be joining in with a blog hop on Friday, and here’s a sneak peek of the project I’ll be sharing using the fun new Summertime die and I have a video for this one.
Also, I’ll be on the Simon blog on Saturday with a video for my Doodling With Debby feature. I have a couple of cards for the post, and in this one, I used the new Hello There cute critters along with the Leafy Frame stencil.
I hope you’ll watch out for these blog posts coming in the next day or so.
