I have a card to share showcasing colours which are a little bit alternative. Don’t get me wrong, I love pink and purple flowers and green leaves, but sometimes it is nice to break out of the mould and try something different. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I have all my inks swatched and find this a useful way to try out different colour combinations. I play around putting different swatches together until I’m happy.
I stamped the Build A Flower Chrysanthemums in a combination of Buttercream, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze and Firebrick and the leaves in Mountain Mist, Lagoon and Emerald. I used the matching dies from the set to cut two flowers and a bunch of leaves.
I foam mounted the florals to a card base, cut and scored from pale grey card. I felt the arrangement needed filling out slightly though so I stamped a few sprigs from the Crown Bloom set in Silver Stone ink, die cut with the matching dies and tucked them in.
The sentiment is also from the Build A Flower Chrysanthemum set, stamped in clear embossing ink on Slate card and white heat embossed before trimming to a banner and foam mounting over the flowers. As a final touch, I added a sprinkling of Robin’s Egg and Sweet Shop sequins.

These would be beautiful colors for the Hibiscus stamp set as well! Thank you. What I need most is suggestions for color combos.
