Have you ever tried the Altenew Build A Flower series? They are a great way to get a beautiful layering stamp set, and matching die. Today sees the release of the Build A Flower Morning Glory, and when I saw the beautiful funnel-shaped blooms, I knew I had to play with this set. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. BUILD A FLOWER MORNING GLORY
The Build-A-Flower Morning Glory set includes a 6×8 stamp set (21 stamp images) and coordinating dies. The Build A Flower series from Altenew are only sold as a stamp and die set, not individually.
When I googled Morning Glory flowers, my screen was filled with white, red, blue, purple, and yellow blooms. I decided on a purple hue, however, I did notice that these flowers often faded into pink and then at the very centre yellow. I left adding the yellow until the end and stamped my first layers in Rose Quartz to get a pale pink base.
I then stamped the next layer in Lavender Fields and the darkest layer in Deep Iris. For the leaves, I used Frayed Leaf and then Moss for the leaf details.
I decided to add some pencil details to add the yellow to the centre of the flower and also to emphasise the curves and shapes of the flowers. I added the panel to a Fog card base and stamped a sentiment from the Build A Flower Morning Glory set in clear embossing ink on Slate card and white heat embossed before trimming to a skinny banner and adding over the flower stems. As a final touch, I added some translucent Nuvo Jewel drops in Pale Periwinkle and Rose Water.
