Hello there and how about this happy face to brighten up your Monday! This quick card uses the new Suzy’s Mother’s Day Watercolor Prints from Simon Says Stamp. These prints are part of a series printed on Tim Holtz watercolour card and are great for quick cards on the go. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I just fell in love with this llama as soon as I saw her! The card comes with a punny Mother’s Day sentiment, however, here in the UK Mother’s Day has been and gone, so instead, I adapted the card to give to a friend. I watercoloured the llama and hearts with Daniel Smith watercolours and then fussy cut around the images.
I have been a long-term fan of Shari Carroll, and she creates stunning graphics filled with examples for the Simon Says Stamp new releases. I was particularly taken with how Shari had watercoloured her llama and also a card she created using the Pebbles die which led to me using the Pebbles die cut from white card and backed by Surf Blue card.
I mounted the Pebbles panel on a white card base and then foam mounted the llama and hearts on top and accented with sequins. Finally, for the sentiment, I stamped a punny llama sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Little Llama set in clear embossing ink on Slate card, white heat embossed, trimmed to a banner and foam mounted.
