Today I’m taking a look at the new Altenew April Release of stamps and dies! This post is part of a blog hop to celebrate the latest release. There’s more information on the blog hop below, but for now, let’s take a look at what’s in the new release. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

LARGE DIE CUT SENTIMENT
Look at that lovely large Mega Hello die cut! It really makes a splash on a card front. However, it can still be combined with other elements to create a fun and colourful card. I started this card from the base up, I stamped the Watercolor Dots set in Limestone ink, and I love the subtle background this gives while still adding interest. I trimmed the panel to just smaller than an A2 card base and adhered to a white base.
I then stamped and die cut the Strength Blooms flowers and leaves. The colours I used were:
- Flowers – Sea Glass, Ocean Waves, Dusk, Desert Night
- Leaves – Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Moss
I arranged a trio of flowers and adhered with foam adhesive and then dotted around the leaves and a few enamel dots and jewels.
Finally, I die cut the Mega Hello die from Black card and added it to the flowers, keeping it in place with foam adhesive.
FOLKSY FLORALS
This second card also uses the Watercolor Dots set as a background, however, with this card I stamped it in Limestone ink first on scratch paper before stamping the second generation on a panel of white card. The resulting background is very subtle, and I love the added texture of the dots.
I paired the Watercolor Dots background with brightly coloured flowers and leaves stamped using the Folksy Florals set with matching dies. The colours I used were:
- Left Flower – Frosty Pink, Ruby Red and Mango Smoothie with Olive and Versafine Onyx Black for the leaves.
- Right Flower – Mango Smoothie and Caramel Toffee with Emerald for the leaves and Versafine Onyx Black for the veins
I paired the flowers with a sentiment from the Strength Blooms set stamped in clear embossing ink on Slate card, white heat embossed, trimmed to a skinny banner and adhered with foam adhesive. I added a trio of New Day enamel dots to finish.
