To round off this busy week, I’m delighted to be part of a blog hop today to celebrate the new Best Days release from Simon Says Stamp. There are more details on the blog hop below. For this post, I’ve videoed (see below) the watercolouring of this Mother’s Day card with the Helleborus flowers from the new Even More Spring Flowers set. I know Mother’s Day is not imminent for everyone, but here in the UK Mother’s Day is tomorrow, 11 March, and this is the card I made for my Mum. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. SIMON SAYS STAMP BEST DAYS RELEASE
Here’s a quick summary of what is included in the new Best Days release from Simon Says Stamp.

EVEN MORE SPRING FLOWERS
This type of watercoloured card is my favourite – no line watercolouring with dimension from die cuts and keeping the design relatively clean and straightforward with a focal point surrounded by white space. The Even More Spring Flowers set joins others in this series; Spring Flowers, More Spring Flowers, Summer Flowers and Winter Flowers. You can never have too many flowers though!
VIDEO
Watch below or in HD on YouTube.
I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Even More Spring Flowers set in Antique Linen Distress Ink and then watercoloured with my Daniel Smith paints. Please see my supplies list for the colours I used. I then die cut the images with their matching dies.
I also lightly watercoloured and splattered a background panel which I die cut with a Wonky Rectangle die. I foam mounted the panel on a Fog card base and then foam mounted the flowers and leaves on top. I stamped a sentiment from the So Deer set in clear embossing ink on Slate card and then white heat embossed before trimming into a banner and adding with foam adhesive. As a final embellishment, I added a few sequins dotted around the flowers.
MORE INSPIRATION
I love the Picture Book series of dies from Simon Says Stamp and made this duo using the new Picture Book Lamb, and Picture Book Croc dies. You can find more details on these cards by visiting the original post here.
