The Picture Book die series from Simon Says Stamp is still going strong, and I just had to colour this Picture Book Unicorn‘s mane in a rainbow and then pop on a sparkly gold horn! I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I die cut the pieces from the Picture Book Unicorn from white card and coloured the mane in a rainbow of Copic Markers and the nose in a warm grey. I added a pair of wiggle eyes and a gold glitter card horn and then mounted the pieces on a scrap of white card and trimmed out. This way I could mount the unicorn with foam adhesive for extra dimension. As a finishing touch, I painted Ranger Multi Medium Matte over the mane and then dunked it in Ranger Rock Candy Distress Glitter for a beautiful sugar-like texture.
I stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment from the Circle Sayings set on Sea Glass card and then die cut with a Nested Circle die. I rubbed Lake Shores ink around the edges of the circle to give more dimension. I then foam mounted the unicorn on top and in turn foam mounted the circle to a panel of patterned paper and then on to a Fog card base.
I added a trio of cute Happy Clouds dies cut from white card and also a ‘hello’ from Black card using the Hello Beautiful Gorgeous die set. Finally, I added a few Crystal Reflections sequins to accent.
