I mentioned the other day that I took some watercolouring with me on holiday and today’s card is another product of that. I stamped the beautiful Bouquet Of Thanks flower image in Antique Linen Distress Ink and then watercoloured with Daniel Smith paints to give a no-line look. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
When I got home from our break, I die cut the flowers with their matching dies and also added a few details to the flower centres with Faber Castell pencils and a white gel pen. I do love how the matching die for this image cuts out all the blank areas between the stems. It gives the flowers a lovely delicate feel.
I paired the watercoloured bouquet of flowers with patterned papers and a sticker from the Carta Bella Spring Market range which were included in the recent March Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp. That kit is now sold out, however, many of the items are available separately including these Carta Bella patterned papers and stickers. I foam mounted the lined paper to a Neenah Desert Storm card base then foam mounted the green check paper over the lower third. I added a strip of the wood paper with wording across it, and then foam mounted the flowers over the top.
I added the Fresh Flowers sticker by negating the sticky on the back with a powder tool and then foam mounting to overlap the flower stems. I added a twine bow with a glue dot to hold it in place, and as a final flourish, I accented with Sweet Shop sequins.
