Today, I’m revisiting a favourite technique – heat emboss resist, and the delicate branches of the Brushed Branches set from Simon Says Stamp is perfect for this technique. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
On a piece of Neenah Solar White card, I stamped the Brushed Branches in clear embossing ink offset to one side before white heat embossing. I gently blended Melon, Rosie Cheeks and Duckling inks over the white card, letting the white heat embossing resist the ink. When I’d finished I buffed the heat embossed tree with a soft cloth to remove any ink residue before splattered the background with white gouache.
I die cut the panel with a Wonky Rectangle die and mounted it on a white card base. After which I embellished the branches with Bubblegum Blush, Copper Penny and Seashell Nuvo Crystal Drops along with a few Neat & Tangled Snowfall sequins. For the sentiment, I die cut the Oh Hello There die from glitter card and foam mounted it over the panel.
