Today I’m taking a look at the new Altenew December release, and I have a video too! This post is part of a blog hop (more details below) to celebrate the latest release. The new products are available at both Altenew, and Simon Says Stamp. There’s more information on the blog hop below, but for now, let’s take a look at what’s in the new release. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

PEONY SPRAY
You know me, give me a flower to watercolour and I’m happy! I picked out the beautiful Peony Spray stamp and matching die set. The large bloom in the Peony Spray stamp set has lovely detail lines and equally a fair amount of petal and leaf to colour which in my mind made it perfect for white heat embossing. I love to white heat emboss flowers as I find the lightness of the lines gives the flower a soft, ethereal look.
I stamped the Peony Spray bloom in clear embossing ink on Arches Hot Pressed watercolour card and watercoloured before die cutting (more on that below) with the matching die. I also stamped sprigs of flowers and leaves from the Beautiful Day set in Evening Gray ink and die cut those too.
I then gathered the flowers on a Pale Grey panel and attached them with foam adhesive.
For the sentiment, I stamped a greeting from the Peony Spray set in clear embossing ink on Slate card and again white heat embossed before trimming to a skinny banner and adding over the flowers.
As well as a twine bow to embellish, I also added a few Sweet Shop sequins.
MINI BLOSSOM DIE CUTTING MACHINE
Along with a new release of stamps and dies, the big news is that Altenew has also released their own Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine.
The Mini Blossom Die Cutting Machine is compact and portable, works with Altenew and other water thin dies and can be used to quickly and easily die cut while the elegant design is great to look at and the stable base with suction feet keep it firmly in place on your desk. The Machine is sized at 6″ x 4 1/2″ plus handle, and the cutting plates are 3″ x 6 1/4″
You can find the new Altenew December release at both Altenew, and Simon Says Stamp.
