How about a video as a break from the Black Friday sales! Today I’m creating this quick and easy winter scene using the Merry & Bright set from Simon Says Stamp. This design would be great for creating a batch of Christmas cards as there aren’t any time-consuming elements; which I feel is an essential ingredient at this busy time of year. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I stamped the snowman and holly sprig from the Merry & Bright set in Intense Black ink on Neenah Solar White card and coloured with Copic markers before die cutting with the matching die. I also cut the Bare Tree Oval Collage die from a white panel of card and then cut that piece with a Wonky Rectangle die.
For the sentiment, I scribbled red Copic marker on a scrap piece of white card and then stamped a greeting from the Merry & Bright set in clear embossing ink and white heat embossed before trimming to a skinny banner.
You could mount the white piece and coloured elements directly on the Fog card base, or equally add patterned paper behind the oval window; I think a lovely plaid would look so cute! However, I ink blended a panel; using a mini round ink blending tool I blended a gradient of blue inks from the lightest Winter Sky, through Caribbean Blue and Deep Sea to the darkest Soft Navy. I splattered the background first with a solution of Perfect Pearls and also with Winsor & Newton white gouache.
I mounted all the elements on the Fog card base with foam adhesive and then dressed up the holly sprig with Glossy Accents to make the berries shine and clear Wink Of Stella to give the leaves some sparkle.

In addition, there’s a new Crafted Kindness Mega Video Bundle!
Numerous communities in the southern United States and Caribbean are still working to recover from the devastation caused by the recent hurricanes. So, we gathered a group of talented cardmakers with a shared goal in our hearts: to help those affected by the hurricanes. Crafted Kindness is the result.
Crafted Kindness consists of 30 ALL NEW cardmaking videos for only $25. 100% of after-tax profits from Crafted Kindness will go directly to help those in the areas hit by the hurricanes. We plan to distribute the funds to families in need or institutions with minimal overhead who can have a high impact on the recovery efforts. And we will be sharing exactly where our donations end up, so be sure to keep your eyes open for that update on social media.
OK, I think that’s all for now. I’ll keep you updated with more sales as I hear of them :D Happy Shopping!
