SIMON SAYS STAMP HOLIDAY RELEASE
Here’s a quick look at what’s in the new release.
PICTURE BOOK DEER
I love the picture book series of dies that Simon carries and the cute Picture Book Deer just drew me straight in! I die cut the pieces for the deer from Neenah Solar White card and coloured with Copics. I added white gel pen details to the scarf, Crystal Glaze to the pink nose, a good dose of Rock Candy Distress Glitter to the antlers and a couple of wiggle eyes.
I adhered all the elements of the deer together on a scrap of white card and then carefully trimmed out, added foam adhesive to the back and placed the deer on a White Woodgrain die cut circle.
To accent the circle I die cut the Pine Needle Wreath from Green Leaf card and sponged Olive ink at the base of each leaf sprig to give variation in colour. I’m not sure the Olive ink is still stocked now, but any deeper green ink would work. I then rubbed Ranger Multi Medium Matte over the leaves and dunked them in Rock Candy Distress Glitter before adhering three leaf sprigs to each side of the deer. I interspersed the leaves with enamel dots.
For the sentiment, I cut the fun Fa La La die from both Lipstick Red and White card and backed one with the other, slightly offset. I also stamped one of the matching Fa La La sentiments in clear embossing ink on black card and white heat embossed before trimming into a skinny banner.
On a white card base, I added a panel of Desert Storm card stamped in clear embossing ink with the Diagonal Stripes stamp set. I then foam mounted the deer circle and sentiment elements on top.

Summary of the project which gives all the views of the card in one photo :D I’d love if you pinned and called by on Pinterest :D
your deer is just too cute, love his wiggly eyes.
I juat adore this card! I have never thought to die-cut from white cardstock and color with Copics. Silly me, I usually reach for colored cardstock, but your card makes me want to try your version.
I love your card! So cute!
Loving this guy! So fun!!
I love all the texture and character you gave to the dies!
