Today I have two posts! This first post is part of a blog hop to celebrate the new Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember release. Have you checked out the new release yet? Please call by later today to catch up on my second post which will celebrate the start of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. For now though, back to STAMPtember! I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
Give me a beautiful leaf, and I’m happy! The Fractile Leaves set is gorgeous and perfect for watercolouring. I started this card with a piece of Arches Hot Pressed watercolour card and stamped one of the images from the Fractile Leaves set in clear embossing ink and white heat embossed. I watercoloured over the top, letting the heat embossing resist the paint and created an autumn gradient from rich brown to coral red. I’ve listed the watercolours I used in the supplies section. I also stamped, embossed and watercoloured a second leaf image on a scrap of watercolour card. To finish off the watercolouring I splattered with Perfect Pearls and Fintec gold paint.
When the watercolour was dry, I partially stamped the Good Reading Background down the left side of the panel with Khaki ink. I also stamped and embossed a sentiment from the You Got This set in Antique Gold embossing powder on Ivory card and trimmed to a skinny strip.
I wrapped twine around the panel and then added all the elements with foam adhesive to a Neenah Desert Storm card base. As a final touch, I added Nuvo drops in Dark Walnut, English Mustard and Rose Water.
As mentioned above, this post is part of a hop to celebrate the STAMPtember release from Simon Says Stamp. As with any good hop, there are prizes! Simon is giving away a $50 coupon to every stop on the hop! Leave a comment below, and the winners will be announced on Simon’s blog on Tuesday.
Now it’s time to hop on over to …
