A clean and simple one layer card … almost LOL. It’s as one layer as most of my cards get. The only dimension is the white panel mounted on the card base and the skinny sentiment strip is also foam mounted. This card uses a new stamp set, Hello You, from Cathy Zielske of CZ Design combined with flowers from an older set, Many Thanks, a STAMPtember collaboration between Dawn Woleslagle of Wplus9 and Simon Says Stamp. I’ve been following Cathy forever and love her clean and simple style, with perfect design always at the forefront and I’m delighted that Cathy’s products are now being produced and distributed by Simon Says Stamp. Here’s a look at what’s just been released today over at Simon. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
The script hello from the Hello You set is beautiful and it is paired with great sentiments for my favourite skinny strips. From sweet to sassy, there is a sentiment to cover it. I particularly love the ‘You Non-Angsty Teen’ and think it would pair fabulously with the elephant with dead-pan expression from the Stacking Animals set! That’s a card for another day, but for today I went with flowers for a sweet friendship card.
I stamped a variety of flowers and leaves from the SSS/WPLUS9 Many Thanks set over the lower third of a white panel in the following inks
- Pink flowers – Altenew Blush + Simon Says Stamp Hot Lips
- Blue Flowers – Altenew Sea Glass + Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue
- Leaves – Simon Says Stamp Catkin + Altenew Moss
I then stamped the hello from Hello You in Versafine Onyx Black ink. For the skinny strip I blended Hot Lips ink in to a scrap piece of card, waited for it to dry thoroughly and then white heat embossed the matching sentiment and cut to a skinny strip.
I added the strip to the panel with foam adhesive and in turn, the panel to a Fog card base. As a final touch I added a triangle of Nuvo droplets in Bubblegum Blush, Rose Water, Duck Egg Blue and Sea Breeze.
