I'm playing with a vibrant colour scheme for a change with new products from Neat & Tangled. Find out more about this handmade card from Debby Hughes here https://limedoodledesign.com/2017/07/vibrant-colour-scheme/

Yes you are on the right blog! This vibrant colour scheme might be different from my normal muted palette but I thought I’d pop a splash of colour in here for a change. I’m very influenced by colour and keep a Pinterest board just for colours that speak to me. I spotted this colour scheme in the Print & Pattern Nature book and fell in love with it. I’ve always been a fan of that chartreuse yellow/green colour and spotted it combined with pinks and pops of red and wanted to play with that. Today I’m using a few Neat & Tangled new products which will release tomorrow. You can check out all the details on the new products on the Neat & Tangled blog along with lots of lovely inspiration too :D I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. I started this card by cutting the Modern Triangles die from white card and then selectively trimming some of the die cut piece away to leave a random fun geographic shape. I adhered this to a chartreuse panel of card (an old Stampin’ Up card from years ago and no longer available) with tiny pieces of foam adhesive at the thicker portions of the die cut where the triangles meet. I then cut the Together die from Slate card and nestled it above the triangles, again using foam adhesive to keep it in place.

So far I’d got a lovely combination of yellow/green + grey + white and now it was time to bring in those pops of red and pink. For that I turned to the previously released Flower Medallion Builder and cut the dies from Cotton Candy and Lipstick card, pieced them together and added in a triangle grouping around the Together die cut. I stamped a sentiment from the Together stamp set in clear embossing ink on Lipstick card and white heat embossed before trimming in to a skinny strip and adding to the top left of the panel. I foam mounted the panel to a white card base and then adhered a few sequins to finish.

I love this strong, vibrant colour scheme but you will also see me using a more muted version colour palette in a few watercolour posts coming up soon – more pinks and chartreuse but still the same influence. Where do you find colour schemes that inspire you?
