I’m popping in with a quick post to share today. The Build It Beavers set from Clearly Besotted was a fun set to play with and so cute! I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I stamped a couple of the Build It Beavers images in Versafine Onyx Black ink on Arches cold pressed paper and then masked them so I could stamp the line of trees from the Scene It set. I loosely watercoloured a base of colour and then went in with Faber Castell pencils. I enjoyed experimenting with the texture of the watercolour paper and the pencils, in particular to give the ground texture. I used the pencils at an angle so I was colouring more with the side of the lead and then letting the pencil skim over the rough texture of the paper.
I finished the card by cutting the panel with a Wonky Rectangle, white heat embossing the sentiment on Schoolhouse Red card and mounting the watercoloured piece on a Desert Storm card base.
I apologise for being brief today. I’m actually enjoying some time with my Mum, sister and youngest niece. It’s a rare pleasure to spend quality time together and I’m treasuring the moments :D

Such a cute card, Debby! I really like the mix of watercolors and pencils. Enjoy your special time with the ‘girls’.
Love how the pencil addition to watercolour gives a unique lift of dimension. I can almost hear those little beaver critters chatting excitedly amongst themselves. Maybe I’m losing my mind!!!
Supervcute!!
Debby, I don’t know how I missed this post but your card is adorable.
