Well hello! Over the next few days I’ll be catching up on some projects I’ve made but haven’t had time to share. The summer holidays are always a struggle for me as I try and juggle everything with trips away and wanting to spend quality summer time with the children. However, today it is raining and so I thought I’d take the time to share this trio of cards I made using the Simon Says Stamp August Card Kit. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. When I opened this kit I was particularly struck by the designs of the PinkFresh patterned papers and puffy stickers and having fun with patterned paper makes for impactful cards in a jiffy!
Two of my cards are based on one piece of patterned paper. I love the Live More graphic and foam mounted that part of the paper on a card base covered with a toning pattern. I added the arrow stickers to emphasis the bullet points and then foam mounted the today sticker. Foam mounting the sticker gives the card more dimension which I love and one tip is that if you are going to do so then to negate the adhesive on the back of the sticker with a powder tool and then add the foam tape.
To draw attention to the today sticker I added a trio of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bubblegum Blush. I did see that Laura Bassen also made a gorgeous card with this paper.
My second card uses the left over piece of patterned paper from the first card.
Again I mounted the piece on a card base covered with another toning patterned paper and added the arrow stickers to highlight the bullet points.
I love this round sticker from the puffy stickers pack – so fun! I foam mounted the sticker overhanging the patterned paper and then added a trio of Nuvo Crystal Drops to accent.
My last card uses one piece of patterned paper with a fun diagonal pattern combined with an on trend marble.
I added the patterned paper to a card base and then accented with a couple of patterned paper icons which I foam mounted along with one more puffy sticker.
I think repetition really helps pull a card set together and so I again added Nuvo Crystal Drops to accent.

Cute cards love the second one the most
Gorgeous cards. These papers are so pretty and you really made them the stars of your cards. Also love the way you’ve used the arrow stickers. Made me think you had actually stamped the text yourself.
lovely cards!!
Your cards are so fresh and modern and pretty, Debby. I, too, thought you had stamped those darling phrases. As a matter of fact, I wish the “more” phrases were stamps. I would surely use them in my scrapbooking.
Terrific cards Debbie! I’ve just had a chance to look at some of the kit inspiration posts and I love all your ideas. Thanks for the wonderfulminspiration!
