SUMMER NOTECARDS
I had such fun with the Sea You Soon stamp set and Echo Park patterned papers in the kit. I started with the card on the left and taking the colour scheme from the patterned papers I stamped the waves in Soft Navy and the clouds in Lake Shores. I then masked these shapes and using two pieces of masking paper I separated off a ray shape and blended in Sunshine ink. I repeated the ray shape multiple times to create sun rays sinking behind the waves.
I then stamped a sentiment and the birds from Sea You Soon in Versafine Onyx Black ink and die cut the panel with a Wonky Rectangle.
I cut a Teeny Bikini from the Echo Park papers and added with foam adhesive. I also cut panels of patterned paper slightly larger than my stamped panel and tucked them together with a clothes pin and attached them to a Soft Navy card base.
To finish I used a Soft Navy envelope and cut a liner from patterned paper for the inside.
For my second card I stamped the forefront cloud in Lake Shores ink, masked it and then stamped the sun from My Sunshine in Sunshine ink and again masked that before stamping the second cloud in Lake Shores ink. I added a sentiment and the birds from Sea You Soon in black ink and then cut the piece with the Stitched Dress Up Tag die. I also cut another tag from patterned paper and tied the two together with twine.
I added the tags to a Wonky Rectangle of patterned papers and then on to Soft Navy card base. I decorated the envelope for this card by white heat embossing some of the images from the Sea You Soon set and then adding the hearts left over from die cutting the liner for the first envelope.
Well that’s the kit for this month. You can check out the July Card Kit and contents here. I’ll leave you with a summery drink which I would love to be drinking outside in the sun if only the Scottish weather would comply LOL.
