The Stitched Cacti set is one of a unique range designed for Waffle Flower by The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery, which uses small x’s to represent stitches and in addition the sets are designed so that you can stamp different areas to let a colourful scene unfold. I’m using the Stitched Cacti set in combination with Lacy Layers dies to create a pair of cute cacti cards. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I used the Misti to help me line up the various images to create the cacti scene. This allowed me to stamp the elements a couple of times to get really solid impressions and I was able to easily stamp a second card at the same time. The inks I used were:
Once I’d stamped the two panels I cut them with one of the rectangle dies from the Lacy Layers 5 x 7 die set. This die not only cuts the rectangle but a lovely defined stitched border too. I then used another die from the same die set to cut scalloped panels of brightly coloured plaid paper to mount the cacti on to. Finally I mounted the panels on to Fog card bases. These simple cards bring a smile to my face and I hope they do you too.
