I’ve got lots to share today so grab a cuppa and let’s jump in! All the cards I’ve made for today’s post use new products from the Simon Says Stamp Mothers Fathers Florals release. This post is part of a blog hop to celebrate the new release (more details below) but for now let’s take a look at what is included. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Flowers, cuteness, beautiful backgrounds, sequins and more … it’s all there in the new release. I’ve got three projects I made while away earlier in the week.
Flowers and leaves are one of my favourite things to colour and the Best Mom Ever set has ones with nice clean lines for easy colouring. I chose to stamp two corners of florals in Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolour card and then paint with watercolour to give a no-line look.
How simply adorable are these cute deer from the So Deer set! I kept this card nice and simple by stamping with Intense Black ink and then masking the deer and florals on white card, blending Seafoam, Dusty Sage and Winter Sky dye inks over the panel and then colouring with Copics.
I was away from home when I made these cards and hadn’t taken any coloured card with me and so I used a pink Copic to colour a piece of white card and then stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink, trimmed to a banner and foam mounted.
FLORA BACKGROUND + BIG MOM DIE
I loved the Flora Background as soon as I saw it – it reminded me of a beautiful colouring page. I stamped the background with clear embossing ink on Neenah Solar White card and then white heat embossed before blending Rose Apple and Clementine inks over the top. On vellum, I stamped and white heat embossed a couple of More Spring Flowers stems and die cut with their matching dies. I attached these with a glue dot and then wrapped twine around to accent.
I cut the Big Mom die from white card and foam mounted under the level of the twine. Finally I blended more Rose Apple ink in on a piece of card, stamped a sentiment from Mom And Dad Icons with clear embossing ink and then white heat embossed. I trimmed the sentiment in to a banner and foam mounted it over the Mom dies.
As mentioned above, today’s post is part of a blog hop to celebrate the Mothers Fathers Florals release. Hopefully you’ve arrived here from Yana’s blog but if not then a good place to start is back at Simon’s blog.
As part of the hop Simon are giving away a prize package worth over $25 to every stop on the hop – please leave a comment below and Simon will choose a winner over the weekend and post on the Simon blog on Tuesday.
Now it’s time to hop on over to …
