I’ve a little surprise for you today, Altenew are starting a new series. On the 15th of every month, to coincide with their newsletter, Altenew are releasing a Build A Flower stamp and die set. Kicking off this month is Build A Flower: Camellia. The stamp and die set won’t be available for purchase individually – it’s only available as a set. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
The Camellia set comes with a large bloom made up of three layers, a leaf sprig with again three layers, two sentiments and the matching flower and leaf dies.
I have a video below showing how I stamped the Camellia set on white card choosing Rose Quartz, Puffy Heart and Purple Wine inks for the flower and Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen for the leaves. I then cut with the matching dies and arranged one bloom and a collection of leaves on a Fog panel.
To make the sentiment stand out I stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink on a strip of white card and foam mounted with the Camellia flower nestling around the words. I added a few sparkling clear sequins to finish and mounted the panel on a white card base.
