Have you ever tried a brush to apply ink with rather than a foam applicator? I’d seen other people using them but until this card I’d not given it a try. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

I started by stamping the Love Is background in clear embossing ink on Fog card to get a tone on tone look. Then I used the Leaves stencil and an Ink Duster brush to apply Beanstalk Green Ink through the stencil. This light green ink gives the impression of leaves in the background and then I moved the stencil and applied a heavier application of Beanstalk Green and also Olive ink to get a deeper more defined spray of leaves in the foreground. I have to say the brush worked a treat and got in to all the nooks and crannies of the stencil to give a smooth blend of the ink. This is my first time trying them but I will certainly be using them again and will report back further findings :D

I pressure embossed the Partial Cut Leaves dies over three of the leaves by laying the dies on the card with an embossing mat underneath within my Big Shot embossing sandwich and then running the sandwich through the machine. This gives an impression of the dies on the card without cutting through.

I cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle and then liberally splattered with Perfect Pearls solution before layering the Miss You dies cut from white card and some hearts from Holiday Shapes cut from silver glitter card. The finished panel is mounted on a 4 bar card base. I love that you can now buy packs of 20 4 bar card bases ready cut and scored – so convenient!
