I’m excited about the new designers showcased in the Winter 2017 release from Waffle Flower and couldn’t resist pulling out the Bear And Bird set for a soft no line watercoloring video today (see below). I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I stamped the Bear And Bird images with Antique Linen Distress ink on watercolor card. This ink gives an outline to work with but is light enough in color and water reactive so that when watercoloring the ink blends in to the paint to give a no-line watercolor look. I tried to get a soft, muted toned look to my watercoloring to reflect the beautiful work of Big Bear And Bird.
With the watercoloring complete, I drew in the faces of the bear and bird with a Faber Castell pencil and also added a few extra shadows and details to the rest of the scene. I stamped the sentiment in Simon Says Stamp Stone ink, trimmed the panel and then foam mounted on a Desert Storm card base.

Beautiful! I just adore your cards!
Love the soft colors and your card. Beautiful.
One of my favorite palettes and your softness in watercoloring is so very beautiful.
I truly hope that the person who receives this card is appreciative of all of the artistry that went into it. One hour’s worth of painting is a real labor of love!
Oh Debby, this is an amazing work of art! Such a beautiful card. TFS!
Really lovely card and great tutorial, you make good use of that teeny brush!
Beautiful watercoloring and a cute and fun card. I love the Misti, too. It has saved many a card for me, especially when I’m stamping on watercolor paper.
Beautiful set of cards, love the ink colors so pretty, the artichoke one is my favorite among all, but it is very hard to choose one.
Beautiful card and I love your tutorial :) x
