Today’s Valentine’s treat packaging uses supplies from the Simon Says Stamp February 2017 Card Kit. However, this kit sold out in a matter of moments! So Simon put together a Limited Edition Valentine’s Day Card Kit and stocked up with plenty of supplies … which also sold out in the blink of an eye! You guys are certainly loving these fun kits. I hope you managed to grab a kit but I am so sorry if you’ve missed out. However, many of the kit supplies are available separately. I’ve put together supplies below which as I write this are still available :D Compensated affiliate links used where possible.
As you can see many of the supplies from the two kits are there. So you could make up your own custom kit by shopping these supplies. For today’s Valentine’s treat packaging I used the Coffee And Tea stamp set combined with Cream And Sugar Doodlebug patterned papers both of which are available. Although I used the Cream And Sugar epoxy stickers here, the Mini Icons would work equally well :D
For my treat packaging I cut a Lawn Fawn Goodie Bag and a Pillow Box from sturdy white card and wrapped a band of Doodlebug patterned paper around each along with a piece of corrugated card. I then cut Circles from more patterned paper and Stitched Circles from white card and layered the two together. On the larger circle for the Goodie Bag I stamped a sentiment from Coffee And Tea in Black Ink and embellished with epoxy stickers (you could replace with Mini Icons). I finished off with a couple of the Crate Paper gold bow clips, gold glittery hearts and pink dots.
CREATIVATION UPDATE
Creativation (previously known as CHA – Craft and Hobby Association) is the industry trade show where new products are showcased for the early part of the year. The show hustles and bustles with energy as lots of new and exciting products are revealed. Some products are available immediately but mostly these new products will filter through during the first few months of the year. A major new release for this year comes from Tim Holtz. Particular favorites which caught my eye are the latest in the Distress Ink range – Distress Oxides! I’m excited to see how these compare to the current Distress Inks :D
Also catching my eye is the new Tim Holtz Tonic stamp platform. A good stamp positioner is a really worthwhile tool to have in your stamping arsenal so I am excited to see a new player to the stamp positioner market :D
As I hear more hubbub from the floor I’ll let you know as updates in up and coming blog posts :D
