I’m back today with another sneaky peek of a new Neat & Tangled set. Calathea is packed with an array of layering leaf stamps and has a matching die set too. From line images to detailed lines and veins to solid full and partial images; there’s a huge combinations of looks you can get for each leaf design. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
The set also has a wide selection of dies to match the various images and as I’m in New Year stash busting, organising and tidying up mode I thought the dies were the perfect opportunity to use up some of my patterned paper.
I cut one of the leaf dies three times from patterned paper, laid them on a Stitched Rectangle of more patterned paper and then sewed them in place. After sewing, I lifted each side of the leaves and tucked in some foam adhesive to give dimension. I accented the middle leaf with a twine bow and a couple of enamel dots.
The Calathea set has some beautiful sentiments and I stamped the Aesop one in clear embossing ink sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat embossed. I mounted the finished panel on a Marshmallow card base.
This card turned out to be a great one for this time of year – quick and easy and fitted in with my New Years desire to use and tidy up the supplies I have currently. Do you find that the New Year encourages you to go on an organising spree?!
The new Neat & Tangled sets including this Calathea set will be available from Neat & Tangled and Simon Says Stamp at 8am EST on Friday 06 January :D In the meantime I’ll be back tomorrow with another sneak peek :D
