My final peek of the Neat & Tangled release before the new sets go live tomorrow from Neat & Tangled and Simon Says Stamp at 8am EST. This card pairs the already popular My Favorite Nut set I showed earlier in the week with the beautiful Floral Heart set. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

The Floral Heart set has two separate dies that allow a variety of options for this pretty set. There’s a die which cuts out the internal area of the wreath allowing for window cards and such. Then there’s an outer die which cuts the heart shape and you can stamp the included sentiment in the internal area of the heart. Combine the two dies and cut both the inner and outer edges and you get the wreath I used here today. I’ve a video coming tomorrow which will show the three options more clearly than my words can :D

So I jumped ahead slightly there LOL, I stamped the Floral Heart in Intense Black ink and die cut with both the inner and outer dies to give a heart-shaped wreath. I then colored with Copic markers and accented with colored pencils and glitter pens.

I also stamped, die cut and colored one of the squirrels and a heart from My Favorite Nut. My final bit of preparation for this card was to stamp the sentiment in clear embossing ink on vellum and white heat emboss. I trimmed the vellum into a long banner shape with a notched ribbon cut to the end.

With all my pieces prepared I die cut a Stitched Rectangle of white card and foam mounted the Floral Heart wreath. Before I adhered the wreath fully I tucked the vellum sentiment banner under the top of the wreath and then over the bottom of the wreath. This meant the white embossing of the sentiment could be seen clearly over the colorful wreath. Finally I foam mounted the squirrel holding the heat die cut and popped the finished panel on a Fog card base.

All the new Neat & Tangled sets will be available from Neat & Tangled and Simon Says Stamp at 8am EST on Friday 06 January :D I’ll be back tomorrow with a video review of the new release so I hope to see you then :D
