Simon Says Stamp Diecember Blog Hop

DIECEMBER

Before I share my project for the hop I thought we could take a quick look at what’s in the Diecember release. Compensated affiliate links are used.

There is lots to love from cute to elegant, interactive to classic and lots of customer favorites thrown in to the mix. Due to our family love of bunnies (see below) I had to reach for the Bunny Hugs die first!

Do you have anyone due a winter baby in your family and friends? The Bunny Hugs die is so cute and I thought combined with the soft tones of the Winter Wonderland papers from Simple Stories they would be perfect to welcome a winter baby. To start I layered the striped paper cut with the Dot Scallop Border on to the grey snowflake paper and then cut both layers with a Stitched Rectangle.

Now that I had a base layer I cut the Bunny Hugs from white card with a patterned paper heart and foam mounted on the panel. I also added some snowflakes cut from blue paper and the hello from Handlettered Greetings from brown paper and then adhered these with a glue pen. I white heat embossed ‘baby’ on to more of the patterned paper and trimmed out before adding with foam adhesive. A few enamel dots to finish and then I added the panel to a white card base.

I repeated the card design on a Stitched Dress Up Tag and then to complete the coordinating set I added the Envelope Liner cut from patterned paper and adhered to a thick white envelope. The Envelope Liner Dies come with various accent dies and I left the heart one in place when cutting the liner and then by fortune the back of the Winter Wonderland paper you see for the liner had the red check on the back. So I flipped the hearts over and glued in place :D

FLUFFY

Just thought I’d leave you with a smile before we get on to the Blog Hop! This guy (Fluffy) is one of two white rabbits that we have. He’s the sweetest nature and loved snuggling up in the Santa hat, so much so in fact that he didn’t want to come out!
