I’m starting to move on to projects for the New Year and wanted to try the Corbel Heart die with some inlaid die cutting. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.

For this card I took a piece of Arches cold pressed watercolor paper and watercolored loose pink layers with touches of yellow to give peach tones. I gave the piece a good splatter of silver paint and when dry cut with a Stitched Rectangle. I then ran the piece through the die cutter again with the Corbel Heart centred and towards the top of the rectangle. I pushed all the little die cut pieces out of the heart and kept them to use on another card sometime. I ran the Corbel Heart through the die cutter again, this time with silver glitter card.

I added glue runner to the front of a white card base and adhered the watercolored panel down and then jigsawed the silver glitter pieces in place. For the sentiment I die cut one of the Heartfelt dies three times from white card and glued together then adhered over the heart. I then stamped the ‘thanks’ from the Sketch Ranunculus set in clear embossing ink on Slate card and white heat embossed before trimming out and adhering with foam adhesive. To finish I scattered on a few pink and silver sequins.

Although this card is for the New Year it is appropriate now too as I want to thank everyone for all the support, comments, likes, fun and laughter over the last 12 months. My heartfelt thanks to all of you for choosing to spend time with me during 2016 and I hope you will join me as we journey in to 2017!

Although I’m back tomorrow with a special post, I am planning on a little blog break over the Holidays to spend time with family and friends and have just got one post planned for the middle of next week. I hope you will join me then and after that we are in to 2017! For those that celebrate I wish you the happiest of Holidays filled with the laughter of loved ones.
