I often like to include references to the season in my cards; autumn leaves, spring flowers etc and my natural choice for a winter birthday are snowflakes! Today I’m combining snowflakes with cupcakes in a cool winter palette on this clean and simple card. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I started out by stamping three cupcakes from the Sweet Cakes set on white card in Intense Black ink, die cutting with their matching dies and then lightly coloring with Copic markers. Then on a panel of white card cut with a Wavy Scallop Stitches die I blended Lake Shores, Fossil and Wisteria inks through the negative part of masks cut with Nested Circle dies.
I also stamped some Cute Snowflakes in matching colors around the ink blended circles before mounting the cupcakes over the top of the circles with foam tape. I added the white panel to a Fog card base with the birthday sentiment white heat embossed along the bottom and then added dots of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Caribbean Ocean, Silver Moondust and Purple Rain to finish.
