This card was the first of my pencil coloring on kraft cards inspired by the lovely Stephanie Klauck. Seriously, you have to check out Stephanie’s coloring skills :D Although the coloring of these poinsettias took a while I only used a minimal set of supplies and the card design is very simple using just the Poinsettia stamp set and Happy Holidays dies both from Simon Says Stamp. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I created masks for the outline poinsettia and leaves images from the Poinsettia set and then stamped them in the two corners in Intense Black. Then it was simply a case of some quality time with my Prismacolor pencils, a white gel pen, a gold gel pen and spica glitter pens.
For the sentiment, I cut the Happy Holidays die several times from white card and then finally once from glitter card and layered them together and adhered across the middle. I then trimmed the piece and mounted it on a Marshmallow card base and added a few rhinestones.
SALES NEWS
It’s great to see so many offers and sales popping up! Today’s one day offer from Simon Says Stamp is to use code SSSBFS to save 15% off your ENTIRE purchase! OR you can use coupon code TAKEFIVE for $5 off any order.
Meanwhile the lovely folks over at Online Card Classes are offering $5 off ALL classes! There’s no code needed for this one.
How’s your sales shopping going? I’ve seen the Black Friday weekend sales in America for a while but it has really only taken off here in the UK the last few years. It’s great to be able to pick up a good deal that can be tucked away for Christmas rather than that quandary of buying something full price before Christmas and yet knowing that it will be on sale after Christmas!

Wow! Gorgeous card!
Your coloring is so beautiful I’m sorely tempted to rush right out and buy some of this paper, as if I could then color as beautifully as you, tee hee! Seriously, though, stunning work!
I rushed out and bought the paper after seeing Stephanie use it LOL!
Extraordinarily beautiful card Debby, your mastery of collaring is wonderful :-)
