This is my second post today, please scroll down to get a peek of the spooky Halloween goody bag I have a video of on the Simon Says Stamp blog.
Back to the here and now though and I am truly delighted to be joining the Altenew Design Team! You can read about it on the Altenew Blog :D I think of Altenew as being elegantly on trend and a perfect example is the Peony Bouquet set I have long been wanted to break out and thought this the perfect opportunity. I paired the beautiful flowers with a sentiment from one of my very first Altenew sets – Persian Motifs. I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I’m trying out a new watercolor card today; Saunders Waterford cold pressed, a lovely 100% cotton and the pad has a nice torn edge to one side which I replicated around the panel. I then picked various of the images from Peony Bouquet and stamped the flowers in Frosty Pink, the leaves in Frayed Leaf and the berries in Sea Glass and blended the lines out with light layers of watercolor followed up with pencils to add a little depth and shadows.
I stamped and white heat embossed a simple birthday sentiment from Persian Motifs on Desert Storm card, mounted the panel on a Fog card base and accented with a couple of sequins.
I hope you love Altenew designs as much as I do and look forward to sharing more of them here with you :D
