Along with the Believe In The Season box of Holiday products from Simon Says Stamp I was also delighted to see the November Card Kit cheerfully delivered by my fabulous postie! The November Card Kit is a delicious mix of wood and autumn colors and it was these that my hands were immediately reaching for along with the lovely scripted sentiment stamp set, Thankful Heart, and the delicious Celestial Copper ink pad included in the kit. Although a Holiday product, I thought the stag from the Magical Christmas set went really well with the autumn feel and so stamped him in the Celestial Copper ink and die cut with the matching die.
I also took the border image from the Magical Christmas set and stamped in clear embossing ink on the wood paper and white heat embossed before die cutting again with the matching die. I layered the stag and border along with more of the kit patterned papers (Echo Park I Love Family). I stamped sentiments from the Thankful Heart kit set in Lake Shores and Burnt Orange ink on more of the patterned paper die cut with a Stitched Banner and tucked that in to the weave of patterned paper strips. Finally I finished off with some wood dots from a previous kit (Teresa Collins wood dots) and mounted the panel on a white card base.
I normally go for the light and airy approach (see below) but the deep dark depths and glimmer of the copper really had me in the Autumn mood and dreaming of hot beverages beside a roaring fire! Oh and notice the lovely copper envelope peeking out – that’s in the kit too :D
