STAMPTEMBER
STAMPtember is the most wonderful time; yes new products are released but it is also a time where companies collaborate and join together in the love of crafting. I want to thank Heidi and all the Simon Says Stamp team for the huge amount of work that goes in to STAMPtember. Seriously, they are going to knock your socks off this month!
I like to lay things out so I can see what is happening, so here’s a little look at the new product that has been released today, but stay tuned for more exclusive releases throughout the month!
Seriously jam-packed! Fabulous new stamps and dies in a range of style to suit all from cute to elegant and everything in between. I love seeing some cute new plush dies in there too to keep my needle busy :D However, not only are there fun new stamps and dies but an array of new staples.
New inks, glimmery card and vellum. Need I say more LOL. Finally lets take a moment for envelopes! I love adding a toning envelope to a card as you can see from this hydrangea card. I think it adds a lovely finishing touch to showcase the card. There’s a huge range to see with both staples in our favorite Simon colors and also metallics!
I started by stamping the flowers with Milled Lavender and the leaves with Bundled Sage on watercolor card. Both of these Distress Inks are light in color and react with water so I could get a no-line watercolor look. I watercolored the flowers with Seedless Preserves and the leaves with a combination of Crushed Olive, Bundled Sage and Forest Moss. For the background I used Pumice Stone which when diluted gives lovely purple hues mixed in among the grey.
I die cut the piece with a Stitched Rectangle and rubbed Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy around the edges before stamping the sentiment in Smokey Gray. I added a couple of sequins and a twine bow and then mounted the panel on an Ivory card base.
I’ve so much to share over the next few days I hope you will keep calling by!

Fab card Debby! Such a beautiful watercolour, and that hydrangea stamp is quite stunning. I’m excited to see the SSS releases too – very tempted!

Your coloring is superb, you’re so talented!
Happy Stamptember!
Beautiful card. I love hydrangeas and was excited to see this stamp.
OMG overwhelming. So many choices.
I know! When I was putting in my order it took me a while to realise there was a second page of new products!
I love no line watercoloring and this card is one of the reasons why. It’s gorgeous and dreamy! :-)
Beautiful card! I was wondering if you used the outline stamp or the more solid stamp? Thanks for all the inspiration and tips!
