Boy this is going to be a photo heavy post! I’ve got two projects to share as part of a blog hop to celebrate the new STAMPtember release and the fun that’s going on all month-long. More on the hop below but for now lets jump in to the cards :D I’ve linked all supplies at the end of this post. Compensated affiliate links used.
I will try and keep my descriptions brief seeing as there’s such a lot going on and I know you will want to be hopping along too. I used the new Thankful die on this card – I really like the current trend of having a shadow to a beautiful word die as it really helps it pop from the background. To create the cluster of elements I used a sprig of berries from Cottage Stems and a lovely long leaf from Tropical Leaves.
I used the gorgeous Birch Tree Window as a backdrop to my bunch of berries and leaves, selectively coloring in the tree trunks and leaves with Copics. I cut the panel with a Stitched Rectangle, mounted over patterned paper and on to a Fog card base.
For my next card I really enjoyed coloring the gnome and fairy house from the Secret Garden set. I stamped the images in Intense Black ink and colored with Copics before die cutting with their matching dies.
I mounted these on a Stitched Rectangle blended with Willow and Olive inks.
The sentiment is stamped in Onyx Black and then partially die cut with a Basic Banner die to give a banner with two ribbon ends.
MORE INSPIRATION
I have two other posts using new STAMPtember goodies; the Hydrangea Blooms and Happy Howlidays sets if you’d like to take a look. You can see those posts here and here :D Have you had chance to look at the new STAMPtember release yet? I’ve a comprehensive overview on this post, however, here’s a few of the highlights for me.
Lawn Fawn’s Happy Howlidays set is a sure-fire hit. I love seeing Laura Bassen designing sets now; the You Matter set is so heartfelt. The ready to color scene from An Arctic Christmas is great fun. The Hydrangea Blooms is classically beautiful. I am always in need of a good number set for birthdays. I can see the Birch Tree Window die being a favorite backdrop. The Plush Little Owl is adorable (post coming soon). Finally, envelopes; I am so happy to see this staple in the Simon line :D
